JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises the day-to-day activities of his/her assigned shift in support of the Technical Services Department supporting the Distribution Centers Maintenance and Repair activities. The responsibilities are inclusive of the Facility and Automated Conveyor maintenance system repair and Preventive Maintenance activities. The Maintenance Supervisors primary responsibilities are:

Supervise maintenance department personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures including maintenance services, installation of equipment, and machinery improvements. Track and maintain all automated conveyor systems via CMMS system Develop and establish Quality standards for Technical Services Department Ensure compliance with Facilities PM Program, meeting internal and external requirements At the direction of the Technical Services Manager perform facility project management activities for items falling within purview Strong Troubleshooting experience with the Diagnoses of Machinery problems and with identifying solutions and improvements. Experience with use of blueprints, manuals, and parts catalogues. Identify system performance negatively impacting downtime Ensure facility remains in compliance with City, State and Federal Regulatory laws Support the facilities Security program ensuring compliance and performance objectives are met. Assist in the establishment of maintenance policy and process improvements that drive individual engagement, accountability and improved performance Oversees Material Handling repair processes to ensure adequate parts and supplies are available to facilitate timely repair of the facility or production equipment Develops and implements long and short-term strategies in support of enhanced maintenance reliability and in the reduction of maintenance downtime. Apply root-cause analysis (RCA) for repetitive damage and failure rates. Analyze failures and propose corrective actions Engage in the development and enhancement of maintenance programs inclusive of Maintenance Planning documents, Inspection Task Cards and Standard Operating Procedures Manage Technical staff comprised of maintenance Supervisors and Technicians Supporting the Distribution Centers 24/7 Repair and Preventive Maintenance activities. Focusses on continuous improvement processes in support of Lean activities Plan and layout repair work using diagrams, drawings blueprints maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams Monitors vendor contract performance to ensure they remain compliant and up to standards Oversees Technical operations activities for assigned shift inclusive of effective Manpower distribution and Schedule development that effectively supports reliability and controlling costs. Drives supportive Performance development activities while engaging with direct reports providing mentorship as the situations warrant. Assists in creating RFP's in solicitation of vendor contract work bidding processes required to secure vendors or contractors to facilitate various facility repair activities.

Leadership: Effectively lead by setting a clear vision for the Technical Services organization. Lead by example, not only by providing regular feedback and mentorship, but also, by holding people accountable for their actions.
