Saab, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Manager based in Syracuse, NY. This role will have responsibility for developing, designing, and maintaining a robust talent management and talent acquisition program for our growing organization.

Talent Acquisition responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to gain insights into current and future staffing requirements.

  • Develop and promote the organization's employer brand to differentiate it in the competitive talent market.

  • Utilize a variety of sourcing channels, including job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, referrals, university partnerships, and industry events.

  • Identify and take the lead in implementing HR technology tools aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives to attract a diverse pool of candidates and foster an inclusive workplace culture.

  • Utilize data analytics to monitor recruitment metrics, assess the efficacy of recruitment strategies, and optimize the recruitment process.

  • Foster collaboration between recruiters, hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment on candidate criteria and expectations.

  • Regularly review and refine recruitment processes based on feedback, performance metrics, and industry best practices.

  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in talent acquisition to remain competitive.

Talent Management responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with the business to implement and strategically drive talent management programs to improve leadership capabilities, ensure succession planning, high potential identification, and development of objectives in achievement of overall business strategy.

  • Consult with HR business partners and leaders to define, develop and adopt talent management programs and processes.

  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

  • Facilitate alignment between multiple projects running simultaneously, identifying dependencies, change management requirements, and prioritizing accordingly.

Compensation Range: $120,800-$157,000

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:
  • 15+ years' experience in an HR role with increasing responsibilities

  • Proven experience in talent management and/or talent acquisition in a leadership role.

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business, or related discipline

  • Experience leading and mentoring a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with organizational objectives.

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment tools, techniques, and best practices.

  • Preferred experience utilizing Artificial Intelligence to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, candidates, and external partners.

  • Solid experience in HR/talent project management, program implementation and delivery.

  • Ability to direct and influence at all levels of the organization to drive results.

  • Self-starter and self-directed with the ability to think creatively for efficiency and process improvement.

  • Strong level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, executive presence, and credibility.

  • Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously with a strong results/goal orientation.

  • Ability to work in a high demand, fast-paced environment with a geographically dispersed workforce.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
